Heath Whitfield, D.D.S. MSD

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Heath Whitfield was born and raised in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University prior to receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College

Master of Science in Dentistry. As of 2012, Dr. Whitfield is a Board Certified Member of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Whitfield’s goal is to provide excellent dental care and a great dental experience for all children and teens in a fun environment. He believes in early childhood intervention and preventive dentistry during the growth and development years, assuring a healthy smile for life.

Having a passion for children’s dentistry, Dr. Whitfield decided to continue his education and was accepted to a two year, Pediatric Dental Residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia hospitals, where he was appointed chief resident. Along with an advanced specialty

degree in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Whitfield performed cutting edge research in pediatric sedation earning him an additional degree—

Dr. Whitfield is certified in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support), and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association and the Oklahoma Association of Pediatric Dentists.

Dirk Bio
Dirk Eckroat, D.D.S.

Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Dirk Eckroat was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma. He attended Bowling Green State University and The University of Oklahoma prior to The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. There he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduating with special distinction. Realizing his passion for treating children in dental school, Dr. Eckroat decided to pursue pediatric dental residency and was accepted into Children’s Mercy Hospital-Kansas City residency program. This additional training allowed Dr. Eckroat to expand his skills providing care to children with complex medical and dental needs.  Dr. Eckroat is certified in both BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).

As of 2015, Dr. Eckroat is a Board Certified Member of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  He is also an active member of the American Academy of 

Dental Association and the Oklahoma Association of Pediatric Dentists. 

 

Dr. Eckroat believes every child deserves the best possible dental care in a positive environment. He knows it is a great privilege to provide dental care for your child and looks forward to watching them grow over the years.  Dr. Eckroat is also the Pediatric Dental Specialist at The Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital in Bethany, OK., a facility that provides in-patient & out-patient care for patients with special healthcare needs.

 

Outside practicing pediatric dentistry, Dr. Eckroat enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristin and daughters, Rose and Emily and their new son Preston. He also enjoys staying active outdoors, sports, and traveling. The Eckroat's are members of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond.

Erika Bio
Erika Eaton, D.D.S.

Dr. Erika Eaton grew up in southeast Missouri.  She attended Baylor University for her undergraduate degree before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry.  After graduating from UMKC, Dr. Eaton attended The University of Oklahoma Medical Center / Children’s Hospital General Practice Residency—a program treating 70% of children with medical complexities and children & teens with special needs.

After treating children for years in a hospital setting, she decided to pursue private practice—having a passion for children and desiring to become a part of family’s lives. Dr. Eaton loves providing quality care in a fun and positive environment.

 

Outside of Edmond Pediatric & Teen Dentistry, Dr. Eaton enjoys spending time with her son James and their dog Ellie.  Dr. Eaton enjoys traveling, snow and water sports and interior design.

Erika Eaton

Upon completion of the GPR Program, Dr. Eaton was the Assistant Residency Program Director followed by being named Program Director; a position she held for 2.5 years.

Cromwell Bio
S. David Cromwell, M.D.

Board Certified Physician Anesthesiologist

Dr. David Cromwell was born and raised in Edmond, OK.  His undergraduate career included time at the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma prior to receiving his Medical Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine graduating Alpha Omega Alpha.  He then completed his four years of Anesthesiology residency in central Texas at Scott and White with extra elective training in pediatric anesthesiology. 

Dr. Cromwell is certified in BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and is an active member of the Oklahoma Society of Anesthesiologists.

 

Dr. Cromwell enjoys spending time with his wife, Tam, and five children: Luke, Brooklyn, Ryan, Emmy Kate, and Ella.  When there is a spare moment to play, his hobbies include golf and hunting.  The Cromwell’s attend New Song Church in Edmond.

Dr. Cromwell is a board certified physician Anesthesiologist who has been a partner in a large private practice group in Oklahoma City for the past several years.  He is licensed to provided care to the pediatric, adult, geriatric, cardiac, obstetrical and vascular patient.
